How much does a company website cost in Austria? We hear this question often, and the honest answer is: it depends. A one page site costs less than a large company website with many features.
Still, you can plan with clear numbers. At Nexene you always get a fixed price before the project starts. No hidden costs, no open hourly billing.
What affects the price?
Four things decide the cost of your website. The scope, meaning how many pages and features you need. The technology, for example Framer for smaller projects or Next.js and Storyblok for bigger ones. The connections to other tools like your CRM. And the content, meaning whether you deliver texts and images yourself or we create them for you.

What every Nexene website includes
Even our most affordable website is not a template. We design every website for your company, including the ones we build with Framer. As standard, every site comes with a custom design made for your business, performance optimization for fast load times, technical SEO so Google understands your pages, and accessibility. None of this costs extra. This is the main reason our prices sit higher than offers that only fill in a template.
What websites cost elsewhere, and what you get for it
For orientation: a simple onepager from a freelancer or a small agency often costs 600 to 900 Euro. At that price you usually get a WordPress template with your texts and images swapped in. A custom design, technical SEO, performance optimization and accessibility are typically not part of it. A company website with a CMS and a few subpages usually costs between 1,500 and 6,000 Euro. Here too, a template is often the base, without custom design and without SEO or performance work. These are rough figures from our experience of the market, not a rule for every offer.
At Nexene, even the entry level comes with a custom design, performance optimization and SEO. That difference is what the price pays for. When you compare quotes, ask each provider what exactly is included.
Ongoing costs after launch
The website price is only part of the bill. After launch you have two options. We either bill the operation through the platform itself, from 30 Euro net a month. Or we also monitor your website, from 100 Euro net a month. Monitoring means we check that everything runs properly and without outages. There are different support levels, and we agree on the right one with you.
On top come the domain (10 to 20 Euro a year) and further development if you want it. There are no plugin licenses or update costs piling up like with a typical WordPress setup.
Funding for businesses in Austria
Austrian businesses have previously been able to apply for digitalization funding, including for new websites, via programs such as KMU.DIGITAL (WKO/AWS). Availability and conditions change. We look into it with you: request an appointment and in a short call we check whether funding is available for your project and whether we can apply for it on your behalf.
Agency or freelancer?
A freelancer is often cheaper, but it's a one-person risk: if they're sick, on holiday, or the project just ends, you're on your own. A large agency plans more reliably, but tends to be slower and less personal to deal with. Nexene sits in between: two founders, no account managers, and still a real team behind it.
