Web App Development

UX/UI Design

The logistics center at Messe Graz handles deliveries for events and trade fairs – previously with paper slips, manual coordination and the inefficiencies that come with them. AMB Logistics needed a digital solution that simplifies work orders during deliveries and makes the entire process paperless. We developed a web app built for daily use on iPad – from creating orders to on-site completion.

Paper slips in a logistics center that has no time for paper.

Messe Graz is one of the largest event venues in Styria. Every event requires delivery coordination: trucks arrive, materials are assigned, work orders are distributed and completed. Until now, this process relied on handwritten work orders on paper – error-prone, difficult to track and impossible to coordinate in real time.

The challenge was deeply practical. Staff at the logistics center don't work at desks – they stand at loading docks, coordinate drivers and move materials. A digital solution has to work in this environment: quick to operate with one hand, robust enough for the rough reality of daily logistics and intuitive enough that no employee needs training. At the same time, the solution has to cover the entire lifecycle of a work order – from creation through assignment to completion.

AMB Logistics didn't need enterprise software with a hundred features. They needed a tool that digitizes one specific process – fast, reliable and without detours.

A digital work order that's faster than any piece of paper.

We developed a web app for AMB Logistics that digitizes the complete work order process at the Messe Graz logistics center – optimized for daily use on iPad.

The UX/UI design was built for the reality at the loading dock: large touch targets, clear status indicators and a workflow that captures a new order in seconds. Staff create work orders directly upon delivery, assign them and track status in real time – all on one device, all without paper.

The web app covers the entire lifecycle of an order: creation, assignment to staff, status updates and completion confirmation. Instead of illegible handwriting on slips that can get lost, there is now a digital trail that can be traced at any time. Coordination between teams happens in real time – no searching for slips, no follow-up questions, no duplicate work.

For AMB Logistics, this means: a logistics process that runs as efficiently as the events it enables – paperless, transparent and finally arrived in the digital age.
