Kyla Peterson took over the Oceanside location of her father's surf school and needed a digital presence that reflects her vision: personal, professional, and as inviting as the first ride on a wave. We developed everything from A to Z for Surfin Fire Oceanside: from brand design and website to the hero video that draws visitors directly to the water.

From family business to independent brand.

Surfin Fire is an established surf school in San Diego, California – founded by Jon Peterson, a local fire captain and passionate surfer. When his daughter Kyla took over the Oceanside location, she faced a clear challenge: she needed her own digital presence that positioned her location independently without losing the connection to the family tradition.

The existing online presence covered the entire Surfin-Fire offering – Kayla's location got lost in it. Potential customers couldn't specifically find Oceanside, the booking experience was cumbersome, and there was a lack of a visual identity that captured the character of the location: female-led, community-oriented, directly at the Oceanside Pier.

Kyla didn't need a website relaunch. She needed a complete digital restart – design, texts, technology, and a visual experience that conveys the spirit of her surf school.

Everything from a single source. From concept to the final wave.

We designed and implemented a complete digital platform for Surfin Fire Oceanside – without external service providers, without coordination chaos.

The result is a website that loads in seconds, works on every device, and immerses visitors directly into the atmosphere at Oceanside Pier with a custom-produced hero video. Instead of stock material, the video shows real sessions, real waves, real emotions — giving visitors a feel for the surf school even before they have read a line of text.

We have written the entire copy to capture Kayla's voice: direct, warm, and inviting. From the homepage to the program descriptions and booking pages, there is a common thread that builds trust and leads to booking. The seamless integration of the booking system ensures that visitors can move from the first impression to a booked surf session in just a few clicks.

For Kyla, this means: a digital platform that independently positions her location, attracts new customers, and allows her business to grow predictably—independent of her father's main brand.
